THERAPY FOR HIGH-ACHIEVING ADULTS WHO HAVE LEARNED TO DISCONNECT FROM THEMSELVES
Therapy that doesn’t just talk about change — it helps you live it!
You might recognize more than one of these:
YOU’RE MIND HAS LIKELY BEEN TRYING TO “SOLVE” IT FOR YEARS
It’s not a lack of insight or a failure of willpower.
You may already know.
Why you’re so hard on yourself.
Why you constantly second guess, over-think, or look for others to tell you the answers.
Why deep down you don’t feel good about yourself despite all the achievements, awards or what anyone else says?
Why you stay busy at work, struggle to relax or slow down even though it’s what you say you want the most.
Why you compare yourself negatively to everyone around you
Why you’re so good at telling your friends how to set healthy boundaries but struggle to honor your own.
You've read the self-help books, listened to the podcasts, maybe even been to therapy before. And yet, despite everything you know, you still find yourself caught in the same frustrating cycles—overthinking, over giving, over working, doubting yourself, and wondering why knowing better hasn't translated into living differently.
Insight might explain you’re patterns — it rarely transforms them.
WHY UNDERSTANDING YOURSELF ISN’T ALWAYS ENOUGH
Understanding why you think, feel, or behave the way you do is an important part of therapy. But insight alone rarely changes the patterns your mind and body have relied on for years.
Transformation starts by shifting our relationship with those patterns not by trying to outthink them. Instead of fighting them, we'll begin understanding how they've been “survival strategies” trying to protect or help you.
Therapy becomes a place to practice something different.
Instead of automatically criticizing yourself, shutting down, overthinking, or pushing through, you'll learn to notice those reactions as they happen, in real time. Together, we’ll help you recognize what’s happening beneath your automatic reactions to begin choosing responses that feel more like your true self than the survival strategies you’ve been using to manage.
Lasting change doesn't just happen when you understand yourself better, it happens when you begin relating to yourself differently.

Welcome, I’m Erin (she/her)
For nearly two decades, I've helped adults navigate depression, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, self-doubt, and the lasting impact of early childhood trauma including being raised by parents with narcissistic traits.
One thing I've learned in my personal life and work, is true, sustained change rarely comes from trying harder—or simply understanding yourself more.
It comes from slowing down enough to understand the patterns that have been protecting you, approaching them with compassion instead of criticism, and creating new experiences that allow genuine change to happen.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and dynamic, integrating various therapies including Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Neuroscience and Attachment that honor the powerful connection between mind and body and go beyond what the ‘thinking mind’ alone can resolve.

While we can’t always escape periods of sadness in life, when these moments turn to weeks or months, or become more intense or chronic, it can signal something deeper like a depressive episode. Work burnout is when we feel drained or have less energy or motivation at work. And when left unaddressed, it can seep into other areas of life impacting our relationships, ability to experience pleasure and satisfaction. I offer therapy specifically for employees in high-tech or healthcare who are experiencing chronic stress and burnout.

Even life transitions that are welcomed can bring a range of complicated emotions and experiences. Whether relocating to a new place, changing careers, welcoming a new family member, or experiencing the grief of ending a relationship or losing a loved one or beloved pet, change can be arduous and painful.
